Baking and blogging. Why
do either?
For me, I bake because I love it.
My infatuation with sweets started way too young. Easy Bake Ovens, Grandmother’s Infamous
Cookie Barrel…er Jar, and an Italian
family that considered Thanksgiving and Christmas to be synonymous with
Cannoli, Cuccidati, Kringle, Pizzelle…
Because of these early experiences, I grasped a very foundational aspect
of baking at a young age – win or fail, the results are always sweet.
That frosting turned out runny?
Throw some in a bowl and a cupcake on top. Done.
Those cookies stuck to the pan?
Take the crumbles and mix them with ice cream. Boom.
I love to try new things.
I have a short-term memory when it comes to baking. If couldn’t hack crème brûlée then I must be a pro at cheesecake! I’m not afraid.
That’s what this blog is for.
To chronicle my adventures.
I’ll share with you my best finds and my worst fails. Because I believe that if you want to
bake. You can bake. Hopefully, my being transparent will help you
face any baking fears you may have.
You’ll be surprised at some of the things you can pull off.
I surprise myself all the time!
Doing what I do.
Office worker by day,
Office worker by day,
Baker by night, weekend, and general spare time.
